    Personally, I love performing dips and drops during social dancing. It adds a wow factor into your dance – and the ladies like it too! However I soon learnt to ask the ladies, FIRST, during the dance, if ‘they mind doing dips and drops’, after one screamed out she had a bad back! Some look terrified with an enthatic “NO”! Others look a bit worried but will give it a try.

    @nopostonsundays I would agree. I personally don’t prefer dips during social dancing, but enough people demanded a quick lesson on dips so we decided to make them happy. I think most of the desire for dips comes from the stereotyping of Latin dance from shows like ‘Dancing With the Stars’ – which can be considered cheesy. Normally dips are left for performances.

    We don’t spend enough time explaining the dip since this is more of a reference video from the app.
